YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION & OTHER REQUIRED VACCINATIONS

Please be advised that Suriname does require yellow fever vaccination from visitors coming from infected areas.

Although Suriname is free from yellow fever we do advise foreigners who want to travel to the interior, part of the Amazone rain forest, to take the yellow fever vaccination, because once in a while some cases do occur in Brazil.

We also advise travellers to the interior to take malaria prophylaxis. Recommended prophylaxis chloroquine, 500 mg ( once a week )+proguanil 200 mg dayly.
